Environmental Assessments are concise public documents that a Federal agency prepares under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to provide sufficient evidence and analysis to determine whether a proposed agency would require preparation of an Environmental Impact statement (EIS) or a finding of no significant impact.

Noise Assessments help determine whether a development complies with Housing and Urban Developement (HUD) requirements or if noise reducing measures need to be implemented.  The primary problematic source of noise are roadways.
