Matt has been with VET since February 2018. He graduated from the University of Evansville in May 2016 with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Chemistry. While a student Matt was especially passionate about ecology and anything environmentally-related, volunteering his time to local nature preserves and being a member of a published undergraduate research team. Before joining VET, Matt worked in the environmental consulting field for a year and a half in Kentucky specializing in wetlands and streams mitigation and construction in the Illinois coal basin, covering Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. While he fervently enjoys working on ecologically-related projects, Matt is thrilled to be working with a team and company servicing clients in multiple environmental fields, benefiting public health and the environment in Bloomington and around the Midwest. When Matt’s not out in the field or at the office he’s more than likely at home with his wife and two cats, reading or checking in on his favorite sports teams, or weightlifting and staying in shape. On the weekends he may be out of town at a state park hiking or camping, or visiting family. Matt is 38-hour USACE wetland delineator trained and 40-hour HAZWOPER trained.
